On September 13, YAQU PACHA was present at two locations: at the Species Conservation Day at the Duisburg Zoo and at the Zoologischer Stadtgarten in Karlsruhe. At both locations, we provided information about our species conservation projects in Latin America and the protection of endangered aquatic mammals.
At our information booths, we were able to introduce our work to many visitors and explain how we work with our local partners to protect endangered species and their habitats. Among the species highlighted were the La Plata dolphin, the Lahille’s dolphin, Amazon river dolphins, manatees, and the vaquita.
Personal interaction is particularly important to us at events like these. Time and again, many interesting conversations demonstrate just how great the interest is in our projects and in concrete species conservation. In Duisburg, our YAQU PACHA plush toys were also on hand once again; purchasing them helps support our species conservation projects.
