Today we say goodbye to Valentino, a remarkable Franciscana dolphin who touched us all deeply.
These stranded animals rarely survive longer than 72 hours in rehabilitation, but Valentino lived for 42 days under the incredible care of the R3 team and our entire Alliance - a testament to what dedication and teamwork can achieve.
A big thank you to all the R3 vets, volunteers and helpers who did everything they could to give Valentino a chance. Your dedication and care is what makes these efforts possible.
Every day with Valentino was a step forward in our mission to save the endangered Franciscana dolphins. Although his loss is devastating, his journey has taught us so much. We will honor his memory by continuing to fight for the future of his species.
