Successful species conservation is never the responsibility of a single organization. Behind every project are people and institutions that pool their knowledge, experience, and resources.
Since 1992, YAQU PACHA has been building an international network that connects Latin America, Europe, and the United States. It brings together researchers, nongovernmental organizations, universities, rescue and rehabilitation centers, zoos, veterinarians, and local communities.
In Latin America, this network includes, among others, GEMARS, Karumbé, ECOMEGA FURG, R3 Animal, AIUKÁ, Pesca ABC, Vaquita CPR, Fundación Omacha, Fundación Azara, Proyecto Sotalia, UNIVILLE, Fundação Mamirauá, Fundación Mundo Marino, SARDI, Projeto Gephyreus, KAOSA, Projeto Botos, Aquasis, CRAM-FURG, and many other partners.
In Europe, we collaborate with, among others, the Nuremberg Zoo, Zoomarine Algarve, L’Oceanogràfic, the Duisburg Zoo, the Heidelberg Zoo, the Düsseldorf Aquazoo, the Bremerhaven Zoo by the Sea, Planète Sauvage, Rancho Texas, and the European Association for Aquatic Mammals (EAAM), as well as numerous other institutions.
In the United States, partners such as the National Marine Mammal Foundation (NMMF) and Dolphin Quest contribute to this international network.
The strength of this network lies in its diversity: different areas of expertise, perspectives, and resources come together to make possible what none of us could achieve on our own.
